Wired.com’s cybercrime blog Threat Level have just posted their Seven Best Capers of 2008, capers being criminal activity of a slightly more intelligent nature than you’ll find on shows like The World’s Dumbest Criminals.
The best, by far, is the first. A clever mixture of social engineering, Ocean’s 11-like planning, and a great getaway vehicle. Unfortunately for this perp, some homeless guy was off the bottle and on his meds for the day. Otherwise, as the Wired gang says, “…the most awesome robbery ever.”
