Don’t Worry, You Didn’t Need To Know This Anyway

This is the kind of stuff that just scares the crap out of me, no matter who says it, or what side of the politcal fence they sit. Quoth Ms. Pelosi:

“Very exciting, very exciting for the American people, because now we can get things done without explaining process.”

Government of the people, by the people, for the people, to me, means that it’s my job as a citizen to understand the process, and as a politician it should be Pelosi’s, or any other politician’s job to explain what’s being done and why.

When politicians start telling you that it’s “good for you” when they don’t have to explain something, it’s time to start worrying.

Danger Will Robinson, big frakking danger…

The entire unbelievable mess can be found here.

  1. It really isn’t the politician’s role to explain the process to citizens. It is every citizen’s responsibility to understand the process before they vote for their representatives, not to be taught by their representatives.

All the article talks about is how the democrats might now be able to prevent a republican filibuster. Pretty tame compared to the republican’s talk of doing away with the filibuster altogether when they were in power.
