The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls

While I wish that they weren’t using so frakking much Flash, The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls website is now live.

The Roundhouse, which has been one of Beacon’s most beautiful eyesores since my wife and I moved to town 20 years ago, is on its way to being transformed into a 20 room hotel, 80 seat restaurant, and spa. Other buildings on the property will become artist live/work space and other permanent housing, and a hydroelectric generation plant for buildings on the property..

The Roundhouse property has the potential to be one of the most stunning spaces in Beacon and it’s obvious from the work already completed that the new owners are not fooling around. Within days of purchasing the property they have begun restoration, cleared dead trees, opened up a stunning view of the waterfall, created trails, and added park benches. Great work and these are only superficial changes.

Kudos and a well-deserved round of applause to the folks responsible!
