There’s A Reason I Love This Guy

From Dennis Lehane’s Op-Ed piece in the New York Times today:

Trust me, we won’t be giving up any civil liberties to keep ourselves safe because of this. We won’t cancel next year’s marathon. We won’t drive to New Hampshire and stockpile weapons. When the authorities find the weak and terminally maladjusted culprit or culprits, we’ll roll our eyes at whatever backward ideology they embrace and move on with our lives.

Mei Mei Street Kitchen – A Boston Food Truck

leave a comment

Had lunch today from an amazingly delicious food truck at the outskirts of the Northeastern U campus. Mei Mei Street Kitchen is, hands down, the best food truck food I’ve ever tasted, but it’s also some of the most interesting and delicious food I’ve tasted period.

I had a braised beef scallion pancake sandwich with fried fiddlehead ferns.

Fantastic!

The Mei Mei Street Kitchen website sports a listing of where they will be each day of the week. If you’re in Boston I highly recommend that you give them a try.

Torn ACL for Yankees’ Rivera

leave a comment

A sentiment similar to my own from the town that loves to hate the Yankees.

Rivera is one of the best people in baseball and is nearing the end of a remarkable career, having hinted in spring training that he planned to retire. He deserves to go out throwing that cutter, not on the disabled list.

Here’s hoping we get to see to see him pitch again.

U2 Live From The Somerville Theater

leave a comment

Happened to catch U2 playing five songs live from the Somerville Theater in Boston on WFUV.

Not as great as being there, but wow, so good.

WFUV kills it too.
