Yesterday Macworld posted my hands-on look at iWork for iCloud. Coincidentally, Apple also opened up their iCloud beta to anyone interested in giving it a go on the very same day.
I found the iCloud beta to be pretty impressive. While it may not satisfy everyone, it’s going to be a boon to iOS users who don’t own a Mac as well as the occasional student who needs to make document or presentation edits at schools where Macs are not the standard computing platform.
Overall, a great set of Web-based apps. I highly recommend that you give them a try.
My new Pages for iOS review is now live at Macworld.com.
I continue to enjoy this app. It’s beautiful, works well, and the fact that it’s not impossible to use on an iPhone or iPod touch makes it nice too. The only downside is it’s obvious lack of document syncing options. Although yesterday, with the announcement of iCloud and iOS 5, my long syncing nightmare may be over.
