Lisa Belkin, from the NY Times Motherload blog on the Internet “scaffolding” that @military_mom was reaching out to for support:

For so many of us, sometimes without realizing it, that scaffolding is shored up by people we have never seen, but with whom we communicate regularly. I’d wager this is particularly true in the world of Mommy blogs, which were created by women precisely because they felt isolated in a new role.

Looked at through that lens, Ross’ tweets are not an example of the misuse of the internet, but rather of its potential and power. It’s the critics, not Ross, that show the technology’s dark side.

Experts defend Twitter’s military_mom post of son Bryson drowning | via FLORIDA TODAY

Difficult to understand why someone who lives thousands of miles away, the self proclaimed “Girl Arsonist,” feels it necessary to continue her tirade against a woman she doesn’t know and about whom she has made nothing but presumptuous, syntactically uncomfortable, ridiculously hideous assertions, even after the local police have called the drowning an accident.

Madison McGraw is perplexing.

She’s also a know-nothing goon.

Madison, it’s time to stop justifying your boorish behavior and just say that you’re sorry for being an oaf.
