I’m a huge Berke Breathed fan, so much so that, for two obvious reasons, I wanted to name my young son Berkeley. (You’ll note that my son’s name is something other than Berkeley. Cooler, wiser minds prevailing, as they should, in the birthing room. Although I have been told that, if we ever get a dog, I may be able to name that creature Berkeley. (“If” and “May” being the necessary operators.))
There’s a great interview with Breathed today at CNN.com. Interviews with Breathed are rare, the first I heard was more than 20 years ago on NPR and the other was about 10-years later at NPR as well. This interview comes on the heels of the release of Breathed’s new novel, Flawed Dogs: The Shocking Raid on Westminster
