From Dan Moren’s article on Macworld.com:

“It’s going to be a smaller show this year,” acknowledged Paul Kent, vice president and general manager for Macworld 2010. Last year’s exhibition spanned both Moscone’s North and South halls. “Many vendors decided to sit on the sideline and see what Macworld without Apple would look like. It’s really up to those vendors, going forward.”

From my, admittedly long distance, perspective it’s a much different Macworld this year than it has ever been before. Quiet is the rule of the day. While during previous Macworld Expos my inbox used to be flooded with email about interview opportunities and product releases, this year’s Macworld week remains, by comparison, silent.

If this year is any indication of what the future holds, you can pretty well bet that Macworld SF is going to go the way of Macworld NYC and Macworld Boston…

Away.
