Jesse Grosjean has posted a note on his Hog Bay Software Blog talking about what’s coming for WriteRoom and why the WriteRoom app has been, as he put it, “languishing.”
Everything good and bad about Hog Bay Software is because it’s just me. I don’t have a boss, I don’t have employee’s, I just sit and type at my computer. This leads to some pretty neat products, but also leads to many lose ends in the business. I never have enough time to do everything that I should, so in the end I’m mostly driven by what I’m most interested in at the moment.?
I love Jesse’s software, I’m an avid user of TaskPaper and WriteRoom on both the Mac and the iPhone. I can’t wait for his iPad app as I think WriteRoom, more than Pages or any other iPad-based word processing app, is perfectly suited to the way the iPad is designed to work. I love even more that the new version will sync with my existing Dropbox, which is a utility that I use every working hour of every day.
So Jesse, in a word, “forgiven.”
And I can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the iPad.
