Blogshead Revisited
It’s been awhile, but it’s not for a lack of wanting to write or for a lack of actual activity taking place around the destruction and rebuilding of the house. Unfortunately, the software I was using to blog this mess was a bit of a mess itself. About the middle of December iBlog decided to croak. It wouldn’t post properly, started crashing, changed the format of my web pages, added an extra page which THEN linked to the main page. In other words, it had me pulling what little hair I have left out of my head.
The other unfortunate part of this sad story is that several drafts I was working on got, ahem… thwacked. Not an entirely pleasant experience. So, now I’m using a web-based version of MoveableType’s stellar web log application. It’s brainless, (Those of you who know me, I know, are all nodding your heads that this is a perfect solution for me) although I’m not yet thrilled with the color choices. I can email in updates and they’re posted automatically. Overall, excepting the fact that I’m going to have to spend a couple of dollars to use this program, it’s a much better solution; one that will allow me the greatest freedom without having to spend my nights tweaking the program and emailing tech support. As time goes on I’ll attempt to recreate the earlier drafts, but, at least for now, I can continue to add new posts from day to day.
Phew…
