And other extreme sports…

Man, you gotta love the weather. Four days ago I had a t-shirt on. Today? Let’s just say that Pluto is probably warmer than we are.

This, of course, presents a few small problems in the work realm.

First, any condensation of any sort results in frost or what appears to be snow on the roof. This presents rather large problems for those who want to complete the chimney and and get the furnace and fireplaces working. At present, the ice and snow on the roof are pretty much a guaranteed trip to the stream below.

Second, wiring the house is much more fun now! Twist the wire in the wrong direction or hit it with a hammer and it shatters like glass. Same goes for electrical boxes. Hit those babies, even slightly, with your hammer and they explode.

Fortunately, not all is numbness and ice. The alarm system people have nearly completed their rough wire runs. The whole house vacuum is almost complete, rough plumbing is all but done and, billions of shattered boxes notwithstanding, the rough wiring should be finished by the end of the week. In other words, we’re progressing right along.

All good if you ask me. All quite good.
