One week from rock (and counting…)
Plumbing’s inspected. Electric will be by the end of the week. Insulators are scheduled for Friday. Sheetrock is scheduled to be delivered next week.
While I don’t want to get my hopes up too high, it looks as if we’ll have a lovely little Valentine’s Day gift. Which, actually, would be a wonderful reminder of an earlier gift I gave to Kathy. One Valentine’s Day, somewhere around 1993, Kathy’s brother came up and helped me rip open the front of our house, where we removed the front door and installed a beautiful set of windows. It was a snowy day. Cold too, but Marty and I worked our tails off and did a killer job of remodeling the house.
The building inspector came out on Friday and winnowed our four page punch list down to one page. He added a few new items and we still had four left over from the last list, two of which will wait until we’re sheetrocked.
We can almost taste it! Time to start thinking about paint, tile, and trim.
