French Revolution? I’ll start my own…
Soo… you come home from workâ€â€after three hours of sleepâ€â€to see how the sheetrockers have done for the day. What you discover upon your arrival is that you’ve received a delivery from the City of Beacon Highway Department. No, they didn’t fill the potholes… they dropped two-tons of "decorative" concrete in your driveway.
Lovely to look at wouldn’t you say?
If you’d like to visit, here are the new directions to my house: North on 9D. Right at the deli. Go about 1/2 mile. Turn right at the stop sign. Drive 1/2 mile up the mountain. Turn right at the ugly concrete blocks. You’re here!!
Phone calls and photos were made this morning. Blocks will be removed, or replaced with something more decorative. Believe me, they will.
On the homebuilding work front, the rock is flying up. They’ll be done upstairs by noon tomorrow or sooner. (Upstairs, is the most difficult part. High ceilings. Strange ceilings. Strange walls. Tight spaces. Odd spaces. Funky framing. Bad framing. You name it and it’s probably here. But even with all this craziness going on, the sheetrock looks great! Following, in order, are pictures of our bedroom, the great room, and the ceiling in the kitchen/dining room.
