Time to place the order…

Kathy and I have spent a great deal of time trying to figure out just how we want the tile in our master bedroom bath to look. Thankfully we’ve come to a final conclusion that we’re absolutely thrilled with.

MasterbathroomtileWhat you see before your eyes is a combination of tiles from two manufacturers. The greater portion is called Sedona and it’s a tumbled slate from a company called Jeffrey Court. The mini mosaics that run above and below the horizontal tile are by Jeffrey Court as well. It’s mini-mosaic 4.

The beautiful little relief tiles are created by a company called Handcraft Tile
and these are their 6′ Relief Tiles. They have six that we’re particularly in love with and we’re going to put 3 on each of the two fully tiled walls in our shower at just slightly above eye level.

Handcraft Tile is pretty cool and my aunt and uncle in California have done their whole kitchen as well as their bathroom with a variety of Handcraft’s other work. It’s truly beautiful. In fact, if you read American Bungalow Magazine, there was a story about Handcraft Tile in the fall of 2004 that had a picture of the owners sitting on my aunt and uncle’s kitchen floor.

When we get some more money in our pockets we’re going to use more of their tile to surround the fireplace in our kitchen/dining room.
