And a house warming gift…
Dscn4189Dscn4182Dscn4191Spent the holiday weekend putting up shelving in the closets—which also meant taking about six trips between Lowe’s and the house—and moving smaller items that we don’t want the movers moving between the houses.

That’s right folks… today is moving day. Tonight? Our first night in the house.

My mom came back from California with me and she’s been busily (and get this, HAPPILY) cleaning every window in the house. That’s a ton of windows with several months of construction dust sticking to both the inside and the outside. While she was cleaning the bathroom windows she also scrubbed down the tub. It really looks beautiful, especially with the bubbles going. Tonight we’ll add some champagne bubbles to the mix.

Finally, we arrived at the house Monday morning to discover that someone had deposited a housewarming gift for us at the back of our property. A lovely pine dresser, complete with packing tape to hold the drawers closed. I swear I wish that I’d been around to call the cops on these dopes. I just don’t get why people just can’t take this stuff to the dumps instead of dumping it in my backyard.

The garbage in drawers is also courtesy of my mother who spent about half an hour cleaning up other garbage that the boors had left behind. (I’d use another word, but this is a family oriented web site.)

By the way, the beer on top is still full if you’re a Coors fan…
