Sometimes forever seems like a long time…
Haven’t been here for a little while. We kissed our final guests goodbye last Sunday and began our first real transition toward living in the new house. Hanging pictures, putting stuff a way. Figuring out where stuff belongs and how best to live in this new place we’ve created.
It’s been busy, but fun. Plus, today we finally had the shower enclosure completed. Actually, while it looks really good, I was kind of enjoying taking a shower in the open. Almost wished I didn’t get the enclosure.
And in other news…
Bought a mattress lately? We have. And why is it that these guys lie worse than your standard, run-of-the-mill, cliché of a used car salesman. For the next week I’ll be fighting with some dopes over at Sleepy’s. Meanwhile, I’d love to be getting a little more sleep. The lie? “Sorry sir, we can’t negotiate on price. It is what it is.” The truth? Several days later, after we’d determined that it was going to be impossible actually sleep in the bed we’d purchased, we heard a couple NEGOTIATE on the very same mattress we’d purchased. To the tune of $460.
Excuse me??!
Why all this aggravation? Especially when a little honesty and good customer service would go a whole lot further.
