Here’s a follow up article at CNET News about Cisco’s acquisition of Pure Digital Technologies, the makers of the Flip Video recorders. The article details all of the consumer-level product purchases that Cisco has made over the last few years.
Like I said yesterday, I get the other acquisitions, they’re all network-related products. What confuses me about Cisco’s purchase of Flip Video is that it appears to be Cisco’s first purchase of a straight-up consumer-level product. And that’s what still seems a little off the charts to me.
