New water lines, new storm drains, no stone…
We were expecting to see the cultured stone delivered today sometime before 10:00 am. By 1:00 pm I hadn’t heard anything, so I assumed that all was good in stoneland. That is until I received a phone call from Erie Materials somewhere around 3:30 pm. Their driver was stuck at the bottom of my street behind a long line of local residents who were waiting to get up to their houses. It just so happens that today, the day we were scheduled to get the stone delivered, the guys putting in new water lines and storm sewer drains had completely torn up our road and blocked off access to every house up the street from where they were working.
They told the stone delivery guy to go home.
Fortunately there is still hope. the delivery truck will be back on Thursday to try and deliver again. Hopefully the road will be passable by then.
