Now my dad keeps calling me a stoner…
Didn’t get home early enough last night to take any pictures, although the guys were still working even in the dark. And it was easy enough to see that they’d gotten quite a lot done during the day. Stone is now all the way around the foundation of the house and about 1/4 of the way up the chimney chase. It’s really beginning to look beautiful.
We may consider doing the front stairs now as opposed to doing it this coming spring, which was our original plan. If we do it now, it’ll cost us more at the moment but it will be completely out of the way and allow us to do some minimal landscaping next year. What we’ll do is 2-foot deep blue-stone treads and if possible some kind slightly curving stairpath. (This may not be possible, but we’ll work on the idea over the weekend.)
Don’t know how much more that’s going to cost. (At present it looks like we’ll have enough extra stone to get the job done.) Hopefully nto too much though. In the end It’s only money right?
