We finally got to set up camp for the first time in a State Park campground in Webster City, IA. Really rainy all through the night but by the time we were getting ready to leave the rain let up long enough for us to pack up the camper and hit the road.
Just before we left Webster City we stopped for gas and coffee at the Country Kitchen. Kathy was intrigued by an Elvis and Doritos display on the counter and started talking the guy manning the counter. He told her that the Elvis stuff was given to them by people who came into the restaurant.
The guy’s name was John, about 20 +/-, from Oahu, by way of Iowa State University. Very interesting guy who told us that Giuliani had dinner there during the last primaries. According to John and his pal AJ, Webster City is a political hotspot during the Iowa caucuses.
