Stone’s a blast

After a couple of days of rain, (Enough to have our stream flowing fairly fast, but nowhere near what our friends in Washington state are having.) we are back to putting stone on the chimney chase.

The guys are working on three fronts right now.

One mason is laying stone from the foundation up the outside of the chimney chase.

Another is working in the little covered porch that overlooks the stream.

And René, the owner of the company, is working on the top part of the chimney toward the back side of the house.

There’s a lot of progress being made today, which, of course, is the kind of thing that makes a homeowner happy.

Boxes kind of block the view, but you can now see stone all the way around the bottom of the house and nearly halfway up the chimney. It’s really starting to look great!

Sure beats the heck out of the “decorative” white Tyvek that graced  the chase for the last year-and-a-half!
