The weather outside is frightful DELIGHTFUL!

Even though the weather has been fantastic I have not gotten to the porch posts installed yet. Instead I opted to cut and split the wood that has been seasoning in our front yard for the last year. It came from a giant oak tree that fell on a friend’s house last year.—nobody hurt but it put a huge kabosh on the football game they were watching—and Kathy has been asking me to get it split since early fall,
While the woodcutting may seem like a rather large procrastination situation it’s really a nod to the spring and the spring-like weather. All the wood needs to be cleaned up and out of the way so we can start doing some kind of landscaping in the spring. Plus, in the event that we ever get some real winter weather, it’ll keep us cozy in the snow too.
