I’ll just say here that there is some hope. Quicken Essentials is a sign from Intuit that they’re putting some fresh thought into personal financial tools for the Mac. Yes, Quicken Essentials does lack some pretty basic features, at least for those of us who want to connect to and collect information from our financial institutions. But, while Quicken Essentials doesn’t have everything, it does offer some good basic features that may well lay the foundation for an excellent future product.
