Macworld has just posted reviews that I wrote about two blog editing. The first is ?IllumineX’s Ecto 3.0.2. Ecto is a great blog editing application that offers support for more than 25 blogging platforms, although it does not support the new and popular Tumblr. Qumana is a Java-based blogging application that can run on nearly any modern computing platform. While that’s a nice feature, the unfortunate thing about Java applications is that they tend to be a bit generic in terms of the way they look and how they behave.
In my opinion neither of these apps adds up to what you’ll find in MarsEdit. MarsEdit is my personal favorite and the app I use every time I post something to this Building the Perfect Beast. (In fact, I’m using it right now!)
