A floor you can skate on…
If this is any indiacation as to just how crazy things are these days, we poured basement and garage slabs as well as crawl space concrete. the end result is a gorgeous basement floor that is so well done it looks like you can ice skate on it. Kudos to Smith Brothers Concrete Contracting. They’ve made a tremendously difficult foundation job seem like a simple rectangle. If you’re in need of concrete contractors there’s no question in my mind that there’s no one better. Give them a call at 845-778-2997.
Oh, and did I mention that we actually made it to this pour. Yes indeed we did! The planned pour time was 7:30 am, but I did get a call at 7:35 asking if I was coming. The concrete truck arrived at 6:45, which was about 15 minutes before Smith Brothers arrived and 45 minutes before it was expected. By the time we got there they had already poured the entire basement. When Van Smith of Smith Brothers called me at 7:35, they were holding the truck so we could see the final few yards pour. Man we almost missed it again!!
Fortunately, we did get photos to prove that we were there.
