Great program with a few glitches
Let’s be clear about this: I love Apple’s new Pages ’08. So much so that I plan to start using it every day as my main word processing program.
No, this isn’t some kind of left-over-from-the-nineties I-hate-Microsoft kind of the thing. The truth is that I really just like using Pages, which is something that I couldn’t say about earlier versions of the program. It’s fun to use, creates really gorgeous documents, and, compared to similar programs, plays well with Word, and is cheap, cheap, cheap.
Pages ’08 does have some downsides, especially when it comes to mail merge and sharing files across a network. (Which is why I dropped a half-mouse off the rating in last year’s review.) But overall it’s a great program that I can highly recommend.
