Bada boom (truck)…
This was the only day with sun in the schedule, and even that was, well… let’s just say that the weather dudes and dudettes don’t always get this stuff straight.
So we ponied up to the bar with high hopes (and high clouds), 690 bucks in our pocket, and the promise of a lift and place. We didn’t leave disappointed. Preiser Crane Service arrived on time, the boys of Matco Construction performed their highwire act, and by 12:00 pm EST we had all our beams in place.
The rest of the roof framing won’t commence until Friday or Monday. (Matco has a roof open elsewhere and no interest in creating an indoor swimming pool.) But the beauty of this whole thing is that the very expensive lightning rod has done its job and left. Finally we’re back to sticks and nails.
