Over the past weekend we spent a great deal of time hanging and starting to finish the front door, finishing some extraneous framing, setting some permanent and temporary stairs, and pretty much working our butts off the entire time. We had a blast and, as of now, it’s possible to walk up a complete set of stairs from the garage to the second floor. (The plumber is thrilled. No more hefting stuff up rickety ladders. Yeah, I did some basement stairs too…)
The crown of the whole project? The front door. The photo up above really gives no indication as to just how beautiful or how large the door is. Special thanks to Todd at Craftsman Doors dot Com for helping us to select the perfect door. It looks GREAT!
By the way, the waterglass window that matches the front door? It was custom made by Todd at the aforementioned Craftsman Doors.
