QuickBooks 2012 Review

leave a comment

My review of QuickBooks 2012 is now live at Macworld.com.

QuickBooks is definitely an improvement over earlier versions of the application, but it still lacks some very important features, chief of which is file level compatibility with the Windows version of QuickBooks. That said, if you don’t need to share your data files with anyone working in a Windows environment, QuickBooks does offer some useful features and some very good tools for increasing your accounting productivity.

Great NYTimes article on one of the hiking trails up the front of Mount Beacon. Well worth the effort.

Head for the Trails to Enjoy Spring

My latest article for the Poughkeepsie Journal, Head for the trails to enjoy spring, is live and available on their Web site. Better get there quick though, as the newspaper doesn’t keep articles up on the Site for too long.

Go Outside and Play

I have a new article this month in the Poughkeepsie Journal’s Living and Being Magazine. You’ll be able to read it here for a couple of days, but you’ll have to get the mag if you want to put it in your collection. ;-)

First Snowshoe of the Season

leave a comment

We got about 18 inches of snow last night and were able to get out today for our first snowshoe of the season. Good thing because apparently it’s going to be over 50º on Saturday.

Best part of the whole thing was that we were the first ones on the trail.
